Synopsis

A bizarre counterculture film from 1968 reflecting that turbulent year. Anita, a left-wing activist, is raped by police following her arrest at a demonstration. Her fiancée Berto still wants to marry her, but Anita runs away from their performance-art/wedding at an industrial wasteland. She meets Coso, a possible prison escapee, and together they wander about Italy meeting bizarre characters along the way.

Tinto BRASS

The maestro of erotic films, Tinto Brass started out making avant-garde films, i.e. Deadly Sweet (1967) and The Howl (1968), with ample use of pop art, Godardlike politics, psychedelic images and rock music. His trademark (and controversial) erotic films like Salon Kitty (1976) and Caligula (1979) followed. His later films like All Ladies Do It (1992) are seen as the celebration of sex and life as fun.
