The Masters

In the Masters section considered as a feast of masters, we can see the most shocking showings for this year. The first scene of Tag is all covered with blood about a brutal girl slasher by the director SONO Sion. Also, this year we will showcase the restored edition to honor the legendary film of FUKASAKU Kinji’s Battles without Honor and Humanity, which is Toei’s movies of chivalry. In addition, another no.1 premium yakuza action film Yakuza Apocalypse by MIIKE Takashii’s shown, which was invited to the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival. There is also the unique film Wolf Totem by the French master who went to China, Jean-Jacques ANNAUD. The audience can enjoy 7 films of masters invited for this year.
