The 22nd BIFAN, Four Official Posters Show a Transformed Cell of Fantasy! 2018.05.21
The 22nd Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival,Four Official Posters Show a Transformed Cell of Fantasy! Four official posters of the 22nd Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival(Poster Design: Design Studio PROPAGANDA, Figure: Figure artist, Kiddo, Set: Set stylists, All of Them, Photo:Photographer, Lee Senghee)The Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (Festival Director: CHOI Yongbae, hereafter BIFAN) has unveiled the official posters for the 22nd BIFAN.This year's posters were produced by taking actual photos of an art toy that was created of the Cell of Fantasy (BIFAN'S festival symbol). The thick fog and dreamlike lighting effects intensify the surreal atmosphere of fluctuating between dreams and reality, and the visuals create a sense of anticipation by capturing BIFAN's theme of love, fantasy, and adventure. The BIFAN secretariat has spotlighted the horror genre for the concept of this year's posters and has made a metaphorical reference to an iconic character from a film that will be shown in one of this year's special programs - Freddy Krueger from Wes CRAVEN's A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). By doing this, the identify of BIFAN is shown in a straightforward manner while the consistent appearance of the Cell of Fantasy as the main character in the posters tells a story.By transforming last year's lovable embodiment of the Cell of Fantasy into the star of a horror film, the identify of BIFAN as a genre film festival has been maximized. Additionally, the adorable puppy that appears alongside the Cell of Fantasy in front of an ominous background that is reminiscent of Elm Street displays the irony and humor that are found in the film. This year's poster was once again designed by Design Studio PROPAGANDA, whose exquisitely detailed poster design from last year drew a great deal of praise. The figure of the Cell of Fantasy was created by Kiddo, who is a designer that mainly works with fashion and embraces a variety of cultural fields in his designs. The set was created by All of them - set stylists who have created the sets for various movie posters. After unveiling the official posters for this year's festival, the official preparations for the 22nd Bucheon International Fantastic Festival, which will be opening on July 12, are now in full swing.
